I’m Using WordPress
For years now I’ve been telling myself I’m going to finish my blog software and use it to blog. I’ve decided I want to blog, and I don’t want to wait. To heck with it, I’m using Wordpress. I’m not sure how in love I am with the theme I picked out, but it’s pretty cool. I’m concurrently trying MarsEdit. It’s neat. Markdown rocks.
I think I’ve also hit a milestone in my programming career where I don’t really care to re-invent the wheel. For the time being, here it is, a personal blog.
I have a few other blogs I’d like to start. I had an idea to do all my blogging here, use good categories, and set up WordPress installs on my other blogs that just post from this blogs category feeds. There’s a plugin for that, right? Then I can keep everything here, and if people want the specific posts, they can subscribe to those feeds.
Quick update: Currently I’m:
- broke but fixing it,
- sick but don’t wanna be,
- discontent in a good way,
- and overall mostly happy.
I’ll explain more on all of that later. For now I’ve had fun staying up in bed installing WordPress through a terminal and writing a big draft post. Good night.
